The Chairman of the National Company for Protected Agriculture demonstrated the project
A land of 13 thousand feddans has been prepared in El-Lahun, El-Fayoum, and it contains 2000 medium-technology greenhouses. The area of a single greenhouse is 2.5 feddans, which is designed and manufactured by the company’s engineers and a group of national companies with a sorting capacity of 800 tons/day, and a refrigerated storage capacity of 1800 tons. They are sufficient for the consumption of 2.7 million citizens with the aim of contributing to the provision of basic food commodities to citizens.
